Me, Dan, Blair and Caleb met Mike up on Airstrip Road. Mike is leaving on the 20th and his block and the turkey block next door will soon turn into pine forest. So we thought we had better work it over one more time. It was crazy windy again but at least it was dry. 28 peafowl later, we moved over to the turkey block and pretty much cleaned it up. Mike had his Can Am in support to move birds around which saves a heck of a lot of work. It was nice to pick up some more hares too. Today we wound up mincing a lot of the hare and a lot of breast meat from the birds. The red Thai curry of hare front legs was fantastic.
I need to process wings and tails tomorrow then start scraping pheasant pelts. I might just give hunting a miss for a few nights until I am caught up.
