You see Larry feature a lot here. He has been fishing with me for a long time. He loves to travel down river and catch trout on a spinner and he does it well. He also likes to cast a woolly bugger to the edge of Lake Matahina. He is pretty good at it with all the practice he has had over the years. I made him target a few fish with dry flies over the last while and he has been successful. Today he cast a deer hair cicada dry fly as we floated the Rangitaiki River from Murupara to Rabbit Bridge. He landed 21 trout and lost at least as many. I think he is hooked.
Please note that like Dan, Steve and my other mates, I tend to make fun of him but it is all just for laughs. I will not do that to you, crackup.
The river is on such fire that I decided to abandon ship and have a swim. Watch the video, there are some epic scenes.
