Years ago I was on Lake Tuai in Te Urewera. I was watching trout jumping out of the water chasing dragon flies. I pulled out the biggest, ugliest fly I had and fished it as fast as I could. And kaboom, I started nailing trout. The silhouette and speed of this fly made it look like it was flying. Try stripping one when trout are playing with dragon flies.
