I love the krystal olive woolly bugger for fishing lake edges. For me it imitates anything from a gold fish to a damsel or dragonfly nymph/larva. It is also taken a a bully but guess what? It is taken and I recommend you try one.
This is the same fly with the added attraction of the epoxy eyes designed for jigging. I cast them too with great success.
