The Royal Wulff is an attractor pattern and it catches a lot of trout on its own. Many choose to fish a nymph below it as it is quite visible on the water. This is Lee Wulff's hair winged version of a Royal Coachman.
I do not know what it is with this Royal Wulff pattern but it catches fish everywhere in the world and not even the fish know what it imitates but probably a may fly.
